Chalk figures
I've just seen the Long Man of Wilmington featured on the programme about Flinders Petrie. We once accidentally visited it (we went from the top, thus not passing the "Do not pass" notices). We were somewhat disturbed to see that it is now concrete breeze blocks painted white.
For that matter, we have also visited the Army Memorials at Fovant - they are regularly topped up with chalk chips.

Yes I watched Masterchef for the first time for ages, and noticed those errors. I was surprised that Greggg Wallace said he had been in the business for years - I thought he was a greengrocer. What has happened to John Torode and Monica?

Masterchef continues to annoy. They keep saying "ballontine" when it's called "ballotine".

I visited the market cafe today and ordered 2 cappuccini and a panino. "You are wrong", I was told, "you mean 2 cappuccinos and a panini".

I stand corrected.

It takes some arrogance to correct someone in a language the person obviously doesn't speak!

I remember some time ago my wife wanting to buy 4.1m of material. We asked for "four point one metres". The baffled assistant eventually said "oh, you mean four point ten meters".
