Perhaps ‘Hardy character’ rather than ‘female’ might be better?

Poe, Hardy and Dickinson were contemporaries.

Liz Truss has been in office for just 45 days - the shortest tenure of any UK prime minister. The second shortest serving PM was George Canning, who served for 119 days after dying in 1827.

They have now amended the "after" to "before".

They have taken their eye off the ball today. For some time there was an article on the report on child abuse that referred to a "seven year injury".
