Saoralba I have doubled E twice and M once to give the name and title.
I didn’t actually use the extra words from clues but do they imply that some or all letters in the grid have to be rewritten to the correct orientation?

9d - There is an extra word. In the amended clue the first two words are the definition, the ending is a word for hysteria upwards over the usual one letter abbr for island..

In 15 across I think. It's an anagram of ALONG for a Briton of old.

I am still struggling with the title and of the poem and the poet. I’ve got the titular character’s final destination. I would very much appreciate a hint about the third point of view.
