It's 7, 5 and it's a part of the body

I'm late to the dance, but hope everyone hasn't left yet. I have all the across, descending, and ascending entries and all the six-letter ones. I also have all but three of the twelvers but have entered only the thematic one. I don't see how to decide where two of the letters in six of the outer circles should be entered if they aren't shared. Am I missing something?

Also, I don't quite see the wordplay in 3 Descending (nesters) or where the STI in 13 (cross-dressing) comes from.

Aristo, I'm not doing this puzzle - but I see there's 'it's' in 13. It's 'about', so leads to STI. (Please ignore if this is useless!)

That's a relief, Aristo! I have a pristine copy - as I didn't like the look of the puzzle - and the 'it's' jumped out at me.

I guess I'm losing it, malone. Is my face red...

Aristo, I wouldn't worry about it. There seems to be an awful lot going on in that puzzle!

Aristophanes - you should find that there is no ambiguity with the pairs of unchecked cells around the edges. Think repeats

Ah, thanks, merenz. I suppose I should have simply tried! It just looked problematic. I have two twelvers left to solve and then I'm off to the races.
