Has anyone worked out how to enter the short and long answers?

Hi Novice,

The removed words tell what to do. eg 1 across the removed word is EFFORTS but read as EF for TS as an instruction to change the entry. The longer and shorter entries are indicated by eg 15 across JUNKY read as junk Y or eg 3 down ADDICT read as add ICT.

I'm struggling with the SW corner and need a couple in the NE corner - any help gratefully appreciated

Pkd I could help with the SW corner if you indicate which clues are the main problems.
Meanwhile I'm stuck on 6d , 34a and 27d. Any help or nudges appreciated.

34a. Extra word is ag-round
Definition is boat but has another Scottish meaning

Typical Schadenfreude (for it is he) with really tricky clues. I'm stuck on 31A and 35A. 31A appears to have 5 "s"es - can this be?

35a extra word is retired. Look up scout in Chambers
Could I have a hint for 36a please

Sootoo the extra word in 36a is the final one LisT ( and there are a lot of them)
Cockie 31a is an anagram and the extra word is regularly.
Help with 27d and 6d please
