I am well behind everybody else with this and still need answers to ten clues. Despite Sootoo's hint re 35 across I am none the wiser there even after looking up scout in both Chambers and Chambers Crossword Dictionary. Could somebody please give me a heavy hint to 20 down which may help me with one set of interlocking answers which include 35 across and either 18 across or 6 down which may help with another. Also for 30 across I have ki?a and now suspect that the "k" may be wrong. Back now to the drawing-board.

Alwayspuzzled, I've got KINA for 30a. It's a type of bark, so 'same' is the significant word, I think. Sorry that doesn't help with the other clues. I hope someone else will be along soon.

I think 30a is ID in SA (for IT). Then K not S.
