Hi, Rusty!
I felt sure that your son was arriving like an avenging angel to tell you how foolish you had been to climb onto the roof!
Now......Heather Watson and partner beat Martina and Leander !
A worthy win!
I think Heather makes a better doubles player than she does a singles.
I hope she goes on to do well.
All I know of the European Championships is that Dina Asher- Smith got a Gold medal (her first ) in the 200m and Greg Rutherford got Gold in the long jump (his fifth gold medal, I think?)
It is good that your book has arrived - that came quite quickly.
I look forward to hearing some of the (less distressing) stories.........

Hello, Elle,
No, La Bamba did not tell him.
She is keeping in with me as I have promised her money to buy something for her holiday. She is not daft!
It was Dina Asher-Smith that Laura Muir was excited about.
Let us hope Heather goes on to win her competition.
Pity about Martina, but that's cricket.
I heard earlier some surprising news.
SkySports has turned down the chance to show the US Open Tennis Championships.
Eurosport are doing it, and offered it to Sky as well, but they said "no".

Good morning, Rusty!
A cloudy cooler day. Let us hope it does not rain at Wimbledon!
What is it like in your neck of the woods?
I shall whizz round doing all my household chores this morning, so that I am free to watch the Men's Singles Semi-Finals this afternoon.
Priorities!
Andy has by far the easier match.
Heather plays in the Mixed Doubles Quarter -Finals on Court No. One (her match is the third one up)
How are the European championships going? Will you have time to watch today?

Good afternoon, Elle!
It is a beautiful day here with a fine breeze blowing.
I will watch the golf until the cycling is on.
Pyrenees today!
I will look in on tennis, too.
I would look in more if they got rid of the second serve!
Two folk have been found dead at T in the Park today.
A man and a woman. Not so good.

Hi, Rusty!
This is a good time to answer you..... it's one set each to Roger and Milos Raonic.......
I have been riveted to my seat for the past hour and a bit!
I wonder if you are watching........or whether you are viewing le Tour?
The second serve does not bother me....... I cannot understand this wish to be rid of it?
But I think that might come to pass eventually.
There was a body found at T in the Park last year....I remember your being especially concerned because the girls were there.....
Have any of them gone to the concert this year?
Okay, back to the tennis and some more metaphoric nail- biting.......

Hello, Elle!
Second serve slows up the game.
So does bouncing the ball on the ground 6 times before throwing it up to serve it.
That annoys me!
Hope Federer wins.
No, none of mine are at T in the Park.
It is teenagers who died.
I am watching le Tour.
Weather dry but dull as they reach the Pyrenees.
I can't predict the winner, though.

Hi, Rusty!
I'll agree that bouncing the ball numerous times can be annoying! but the second serve seems an integral part of the game.......
I've been playing tennis since I was knee high to a grasshopper........it would seem strange only serving once!
But I think it might come to that......
Update.........
Two sets all now.......this isn't good for my blood pressure!
How is your cycling going?

Hi Rusty,

Another win by a British rider! and the yellow jersey in 5th place - will he keep his jersey for a bit longer, do you think? There two days of hard climbing coming up.
Think Contador is starting to look a bit better.

They were lucky with temperature - 25C - it's reached 30C where I am ! But a nice breeze though.

Hello Elle!
Just put the tennis on.
Roger is in trouble!
Le Tour was good.
Stage win for the Wirral's Steve Cummings!
He was super.
Greg van Aramaet rode well in yellow, and gained time on the main GC contenders.
This was the best bit.
The Flamme Rouge Arch collapsed as the peloton approached and there was chaos as the riders got held up and tried to get passed!
It is usually a level crossing that holds them up!
I thoroughly enjoyed the race today!

Hello, Pigale!
British riders doing well in le Tour!
Van Avermaet was impressive in yellow.
Tomorrow is a brute of a day, though!
I liked the Flamme Rouge collapsing!
And I saw a magnificent mountain goat!
And lovely scenery.
I love le Tour!
