Hello, Elle!
It is a bit cloudy with me now!
That's good you had a nice dinner!
My BBC Red Button channels are on the Sky menu.
Channels 980 to 986. One is a HD channel.
There is football and Eastbourne on just now.
Now next Friday, the Somme anniversary, BBC has 1 and 2 showing Wimbledon, so Red Button channels will have "whatever" showing? They also have BBC 4, if needed.
I actually can get any of the BBC1 stations, Oxford, NI, Yorkshire, Channel Islands, London, etc.
I use the NI BBC quite a bit.
Victoria P won a charity race at Newmarket today!

Hi, Rusty!
Pouring down here now!
Ummmm.......Red Buttons!
I was somewhat annoyed yesterday to find that every Red Button channel that I could find was showing a football match!
I appreciate that it is a popular sport for many - but this was stretching it a little!
It would be nice if more time were given to other sports, especially the Athletics.
My hopes of watching some tennis earlier were rather dashed...... rain at Eastbourne, too, it appears.
Maybe later if the evening proves drier.......
Victoria did well at the charity race!
I haven't heard much abut her recently. What plans does she have for her future?
I hear that we cannot expect to hear any Referendum results before 7am. tomorrow.
Tenterhooks?

Hello, Elle!
It is a lovely evening with me!
Been a few days since we had rain.
I do not think you have to wait for Referendum result.
The bookies have Remain as red hot favourites to win.
You can get 5-1 for an Out result.
1-6 for Remain.
All over bar the shouting.
Victoria hopes to keep riding and would love to ride at Cheltenham again next year.

Hi, Rusty!
Still wet here...not cooling down much either...may have another thunderstorm.....
From what I have been reading, looking at the suggested poll results , the referendum sounds as though it is still fairly neck and neck - and that the main protagonist area results will not be brought into play until about 5am.
Then it is expected we shall see a more definite swing.
What has surprised me is that I was not expecting this to be a decision influenced by a dictated political party line.
I thought it would be an individual choice , based on one's personal assessments of the pros and cons of remaining or leaving the EU.
Not one specified by a political party.
And yet the propoganda leaflets that have been coming through our door have been intimating that one should follow "X"s viewpoint.
I won' t specify here which political party "X" was, in case it is considered out of order on here.
But I think remain/ leave should be left to the individual.
Right, off my soap box!
Now, I have been watching 'repeats' of Eggheads.
I am puzzled that I have been watching Eggheads ad infinitum, and yet have never before seen the supposed 'original' of one of these 'repeats'!
Curious?

Hello, Elle.
It seems to have been a low key Referendum up here compared to the Scottish Independence one.
Bookies are even more convinced Remain will win.
There are quite a few BBC progs on next week for the Somme.
From Thiepval and even from Lochnagar crater on the battlefield. All night vigils etc.
Wonder if Lyn MacDonald will be taking part?
I am looking forward to it, if that is the correct terminology.
I think Glastonbury is on Red Button, too.
The British Cycling team for Rio gets announced tomorrow.
Wonder if there will be any more shocks?

Hi, Rusty!
I have got my TV guide for next week, too.
I have already checked through it, and marked off the programmes that I want to watch/record.
These include tennis at Wimbledon, the Athletics - and of course about the Somme!
Having done so much reading on the subject, it will be of great interest to watch the programmes.
You know, I shouldn't be surprised if Lyn MacD did play a part?
Being a noted historian of that period, she may well have words to say?
You mention Glastonbury.... apparently there is more mud there than ever before......
I wonder if some will be for sale on Ebay again this year?
Won't there be an eagle eye on the British cycling situation in view of what has been going on?
Dare they risk any more controversies?

Hello, Elle!
I will look tomorrow, will I find a TV guide for next week.
I would like to see Lyn MacD take part.
Now, you mention eBay.
There is a pair of WW1 binoculars for sale on eBay just now.
They were made by Ross of London, and owned by Capt Agius, who was mentioned by Lyn in "Somme". There's something!
No bids so far.
I have a decent pair of binos, or I may have bid.
I am getting mighty fed up of British Cycling and their nonsense.
The only riders I am interested in, going to Rio, are Lizzie, and Ed Clancy.
Not enough support for Dani etc from their fellow riders.
A poor show!

Good morning, Rusty!
A beautiful day here, on all fronts!
The sun is shining, the sky is blue - and the UK is out of Europe!
I'm happy although I realise that you will not be.
It is a great pity that we shall be out all day. We are going to a country park near my daughter's with her , BB and baby.
I hadn't actually foreseen that I would wish to be at home today in order to watch the television and keep up with the Brexit News!
I shall have to play catch up this evening........
This will mean a massive decision for Scotland, will it not? Nicola Sturgeon says that the country will wish "unequivocally" to remain in Europe.
A large part of our family are Scottish........

Good morning, Elle,
A momentous day.
I could not see this coming about.
And the bookies got it wrong, too!
Goodness knows what lies ahead!
But, yes, Ms Sturgeon is correct, I think.
And Northern Ireland voted remain.
And London!
Exciting times.
Mr Cameron will resign.
Could there be a General Election, I wonder?
Anyway, hope you have a nice day.
I am going out with a granddaughter for lunch.

Hi, Rusty!
I am surprised somewhat at David Cameron's resigning.
I had thought that he would stay as PM and see this through - that is what he was saying prior to the results.
But yes, a lot of decisions and changes ahead.
Do you think that Scotland will be given a second independence (from the UK) vote, now that the country is being (forcibly) taken out of Europe?
Time alone will prove many things........
I must away and get organised - we are going out in about forty minutes.......
Have great time at lunch with your granddaughter!
