Hi, Rusty!
"Nearly back to normal", is good.
But oh dear, Rusty! You know you are supposed to be watching your diet...... and your BP......
I think your "theory" is indeed a very good one.....
(You are quite right in saying that eating "several" apple turnovers wasn't one of your better ideas!)
Foods with a high sugar content and saturated fat can certainly cause inflammation.
Inflammation is part of the body's immune response and necessary for healing.
But when it's out of control, like with Rheumatoid Arthritis, for instance, it can cause body damage.
It can also give rise to obesity, cancer and heart disease.
You really do need to be careful?
As, indeed, of course, do we all........!
I am glad to hear that Laura ran so well and broke a record! I shall only to wait until tomorrow, and then I can watch the Highlights for myself!
You've got Ascot and more golf coming up soon , haven't you?

Helli, Elle!
I am feeling tip-top, again.
I purchased the turnovers in Lidl.
Great bakery section there. You should try it!
I did not see Laura's run but am very pleased for her.
She was second to Faith Kipyegon of Kenya.
Yes, Ascot is next week. I much prefer Cheltenham but it is a long way to March!
U.S. Open starts next Thursday. And the Tour de Suisse starts tomorrow.
How are you and Freeview getting on?

Hi, Rusty!
You have a busy week of sport ahead!
Horse racing, golf and cycling.... your favourites .....not to mention the Athletics and tennis that are also taking place.....
I haven't had a chance to look further into the problem of Freeview, as I have been out all the day.
I haven't been watching the TV this evening.
I have finished my two crosswords and have been reading my book.
I have no problem with the Freeview box (of which I am aware) other than the lack of ITV4.
As this does seem to be a local problem rather than one unique to me, I think I may have to suffer it.
It is hardly one of life's major problems!
Right, a coffee coming up - and perhaps Eggheads.......

Good morning, Elle!
I agree. No need to get in a tizz about a lost TV station.
I could not tell you how many Sky transmit to me.
Probably several hundred, though.
And I only watch probably around ten of them!
Good old Ant and Dec got OBE's in the Birthday Honours List!
Richly deserved, (says he with tongue firmly in cheek).
Jamie Murray, too.
I wonder what today will bring?

Do you find you can pretty reliably predict which teams do not beat the Eggheads?
I was gardening until 9.40 last night when the lack of light and presence of aches stopped me. No time for TV after that!

Hi Everyone,

Hello Rosalind,

I think it is the busiest time of the year for gardeners, and this year in particular when the combination of more rain and warmth than the norm turn gardens into huge green-houses! It is nigh on impossible to keep up with grass and weeds growth - we can't work under heavy rain!

Good Morning, Rusty!
Another very warm day here!
I have just come back from walking the dog and it was already 19C at 8am!
But we are forecast (possibly heavy) rain by 3 pm........so we may get "hit" on our second outing!
How are you feeling today? Have you been out to get your paper?
What is your weather like?
It seems fairly easy to get in the Honours list?
I wonder why Jamie Murray is so privileged? although he definitely is much pleasanter than his brother!
I have an hour's Athletics (Highlights only) viewing later on.
What do you have planned for your day? You mentioned cycle racing? Will you watch that?
Right, a coffee.......and find the Crossword......

Hello, Ros!
I've never really considered whether or not the current Challengers might beat the Eggheads?
I concentrate mainly on trying to attempt the answers myself!
But I guess it all depends on the luck of the questions...and which combination of Eggheads are on the team that day?

I'm glad you all disliked War = Waugh so much! I had to stop myself from posting a rant here at 7.30 am yesterday, I thought I'd leave everyone to 'enjoy' it for themselves.

Remember I don't get the paper, Malone - if no -one tells me, I don't know!
So feel free to rant away.....!

Hello, Elle,
It is pretty dreich here today and the forecast is not encouraging.
Got a bit wet going for my paper.
Yes, I am looking forward to the cycling.
My cycling hero, Cancellara, is in his last year and today his home tour starts, the Tour of Switzerland.
Today's stage is a very short time trial and he will go close to winning it.
Jamie is more pleasant than Andy, yes.
So is Judy. I like her.
