Hi, Rusty!
No, no school age neighbours!
But I have two daughters, and a son- in- law, all with degrees in either Computer Science or Software engineering!
And not one of them can sort out this wretched Hudl!
Daughter was positive it was "cured" yesterday after all her ministrations - but we are back again to square one!
She has declared herself "beaten"!
Never mind.......I shall just have to suffer it - or use the desk top, which I do most of the time anyway.
I've been reading the osprey update.
It seems that Lassie flew off today and left the eggs exposed for about eleven minutes. Laddie, although there, did not take his turn sitting on them - I thought that was what usually happened?
Glad that your team was successful!

Good morning, Elle!
Great morning here.
A pity about your Hudl, but I think it is a problem which can be easily solved using the correct tools.
You have Adblock. Check to see if it is working.
If you have no antivirus protection, install one.
The free version of AVG is good.
Now you have installed Malwarebytes, click on it, and "run" it.
If all else fails, you can always do a "factory reset" which will restore Hudl to it's original condition.
Yes, Laddie should sit on the eggs.
Maybe he is a young bird and not up to speed on these things.

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a great morning here, too!
A little chilly as yet, but a glorious blue sky and lovely sunshine!
Nary a cloud in the sky!
It was good out walking!
Now ...the Hudl - I really do appreciate all your efforts to help!
I have faithfully followed all your instructions this morning - I have re-installed Adblock, downloaded AVG and clicked on Malwarebytes.
At the moment , all is working satisfactorily - ie. NO intrusive ads , and no mysterious writings all over everywhere!
(but it behaved itself for about an hour after my daughter's efforts!)
Anyway...so far, so good...we shall see what happens.....
After all my technical efforts (!), it is time now for a coffee and the crossword....

Hello, Elle!
That is good, so far!
Let us hope Hudl behaves in future.
Technology is wonderful...up to a point!
These things you have done should go a long way to give you trouble free browsing.
My final piece of advice would be...
Cultivate a local teenager!!!
Where technology is concerned, they are essential!
There is another letter in my local paper today about Hamish McDuck!
A lady who is very annoyed with the Loch o' the Lowes folk.
I can see Hollywood making an epic from this!
Scotland's version of Romeo and Juliet.
"Hamish and Morag McDuck."

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I have just been talking to my daughter on the phone.
Her baby is now eight weeks old - doesn't time fly?
And it is getting time for him to have his first set of vaccinations!
I'm sure he will love having the nurse stick needles into him!
I think she may make an appointment for this or next week!
In recompense (!) we are taking baby and BB to see the Cutty Sark in Greenwich on Friday.
When I was listing the tourist attractions in Greenwich for you, I totally emitted mention of the Cutty Sark!
However, you will have seen that for yourself when the Marathon runners passed it en route?
It is quite a focal point of interest, and attracts many visitors.
You are able to board the ship, so BB will love that!
We are going out soon for a second walk........

Hi, Rusty!
Are you okay?
You are unusually "quiet" or perhaps you have just been very busy?
I haven't been around much myself since yesterday afternoon - I had a bad migraine start whilst I was out walking, and I consequently stayed well away from the computer and TV screens during the headache's duration.
All better now though.
A lovely day here!

Hi everyone,

Elle and Rusty, are you OK? Have not seen either of you on the PCT for a couple of days; Unusual!

All OK here, with this Summer weather we are having this week; I think it will last the week-end before thunderstorms on Monday.
What about your neck of the woods?

A very busy Market this morning !

Hello, Pigale!
I, at least, am fine , thank you!
I was around yesterday , attempting to help out on one or two threads, but I have been out today since early this morning - only returning home about an hour ago.
I think I mentioned that we would be going to the Cutty Sark at Greenwich?
Our grandson loved it!
A new experience for him!
Yes, we are having great weather here, too - it was 28C this afternoon!
Summer has arrived!!!

Hi, Rusty!
Your (sudden) absence is causing some concern...........
Leastways , I am worried .......and I am sure that other people are, too.
When you get to our age (!!) and disappear off the radar suddenly, of course it is a worry!
I do hope that all is well with you - and your family?
You may simply have decided to take a break, but maybe if that is the case, you could just stick your head above the parapet and yell that you are all right?

Hi again Elle,

Glad you are fine and that you had a nice day for your outing - yes, I do remember it now.

The little tit's eggs have started to hatch; not all of them but a good half, with the rest hopefully following; the babies are minute and it is fun to see all the small open beaks everytime the mother return to the nest with some food.

To answer your question the other day, no, they are not bothered with my cats - the nest box if fixed under the eaves of the roof, hence well out of reach; as for the kittens, they will be a year old next Tuesday ! Doesn't time fly?

i hope that Rusty is just taking time to be with his loved ones, especially if he needs to lower his BP.... "Face time" rather than "screen time" is a thing we all do from time to time to lower our stress :) .He should not feel obliged to "report his absence" therefore. I hope he is well. Nuff said
