Hello, Elle!
Yes, the cycling was OK. But not as exciting racing as I hoped.
Wiggins managed to crash in the first kilometer with another few lads.
Yorkshire was great! People very supportive to the riders.
And not the best weather to be spectating in!
Granddaughters rule, OK!
Crossword was quite tricky, thankfully.
I watched Punchestown, too.
Vroum Vroum Mag won in the manner of a very good mare indeed!
And Nina had a winner, too!
Our snow has gone.
Hope that is the last of it!

Good morning, Rusty!
Lovely here - and a little warmer than previously!
It is a beautiful day for a walk!
How about in your neck of the woods?
I hope you will have a nice morning for your outing with Miss ATW!
Are you heading for the Pine Cone? (and a bacon roll?)
Actually, that sounds very appetising....I haven't even had my breakfast yet!
Let us hope that Yorkshire have some good weather for the cycling!

Good morning, Elle!
Great day here!
Yes, think Pine Cone will be on our agenda.
It was a fine morning in Otley.
Saw Lizzie leading the roll-out, then Eurosport lost the pictures.
So, no idea what is going on!
Just saw an ad stating Roland Garros tennis will be on ITV4.

Hi, Rusty!
I am "chasing my tail" this morning!
I cannot believe how behind times I am with everything! not that I have a specific agenda to which I need to keep......but I am so used to being up and about early that I am thrown out of gear with anything different!
I have now had breakfast, dealt with the washing, and am drinking coffee.......
The cameras seem to be down now on the Osprey webcam, too? at least , I am not getting anything when I look?
It is good that the French Open is going to televised on ITV4 as I have that on Freeview.
It starts mid - May, I think?
(Good, not long now!)

Hello, Elle!
Webcam fine now. Both birds on the nest, last I looked.
There has been quite a bit of tennis on Eurosport this week.
From Spain, I think.
Still no cycling coverage!
There is another bit in my local paper about Hamish McDuck.
His owner is fizzing at the osprey people.
Blaming them for the demise of the duck.
I was at Pine Cone. It was great!
We had a window table with a panoramic view of the snow covered hills to the North. I had a bacon roll and a takeaway of a thick slab of apple pie and cream.
Think Kirsten Wild has won the ladies race.
Breaking News.
A light aircraft has crashed in North Yorkshire.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I'm glad that you had a good time with Miss ATW!
A bacon roll AND a slice of apple pie.....?
(I'm envious!)
I'm not surprised at Hamish's owner being upset....(and cross)..... with the osprey folk! I did say yesterday, didn't I, that I'd thought they could have made some/ more? effort to "recover" Hamish?
Especially knowing that he would die, should he remain in the wild.
It is a shame about the lack of cycling coverage - has any explanation been given?
Are you going out for a walk? ( think of the bacon roll and apple pie?!)
We are just about to get organised to do that selfsame thing...I think we shall head for the fields and the river.........it is a glorious afternoon!

Hello, Elle!
No, I disagree with Hamish' owner.
It was her poor husbandry which caused Hamish to be stolen and released into the wild..
Then she expects the osprey folk to break the law of the land to let her rescue Hamish.
For all we know Hamish may have preferred his freedom.
And she had Morag, who did not survive either.
There is a pattern developing here.
The silly woman does not merit the publicity.
Very selfish, I think.
Technical issues with the transmission affected the cycling coverage.

Hi, Rusty!
Well, I don't know enough about the Hamish situation to judge.......but according to your local paper, the Dundee Courier, Hamish died from lack of nourishment, being unable to fend for himself in the wild.
I think that what should have mattered here, and perhaps was lost sight of, was the eventual welfare of the duck, not the sensibilities of the owner! nor the laws of the land!
But what's done is done.......
Apparently , in Spanish , that is "A lo hecho, pecho!"
There was a question in yesterday's "EggHeads" about one of your heroines........Lydia Ko!
BGT tonight!
Oh, nearly forgot...what happened with the cycling?
Did you get the TV coverage back?

Hello, Elle!
The poor duck could have been starving with the silly woman who claimed him, for all we, or my local paper, know.
Another duck died in her care, too, remember.
We only have her word for what happened.
She has been ranting away about T in the Park and ospreys today.
No, the cycling transmission did not happen.
Something to do with an aeroplane?
I know that Eurosport transmission for bike races on the Continent, comes from a signal from the motorbike cameras which is bounced up to a helicopter, then on to the HQ in Paris, then sent around the world.
Great disappointment for the public and the sponsors!
I would maybe have got the Lydia Ko question!
Yes, let us hope BGT is good tonight!

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, I had no idea that the transmission for bike races was so complicated!
Not that I had ever given the matter any previous thought.......!
I'm afraid that I could not remember the question asked about Lydia......otherwise I would have told you - but I am sure you would have been able to answer it!
You know so much about both her and golf!
I am recording the first hour of BGT, then the recording will switch to "Casualty" (which as usual overlaps).
So hopefully you will fill me in on the last part of BGT if there is anything of note to report?
You said that last week's show was disappointing.
Right, I shall go and organise dinner........
Have you had yours?
