Hello, Elle!
No fresh snow, just the overnight stuff and though cold here, I think it should melt during the day.
Pavements are fine.
Will be chilly for the riders in Yorkshire!
My granddaughter has invited me out for coffee tomorrow.
I will miss the last part of the women's race!
Hope Lizzie can manage without me shouting encouragement.
Great shame for Morag and Hamish!
It is a criminal offence, in Scotland at any rate, to disturb the ospreys. It is a nature reserve. That appears to be the stance of the Loch o' the Lowes folk.
Hence, no effort made to rescue Hamish.
Aunt Rhody will not be happy at all!
We have another missing bird in the city.
Parakeet Pete, who has survived the winter and all efforts to catch him!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just finished watching the finale of "Scott and Bailey".
I though that it was a fitting end to the series, but I am sorry that there will be no more episodes.
I did enjoy the programme!
Yes, I think the race competitors will be in for a bitter cold weekend!
What time are you and a granddaughter (which one?) going out for a coffee tomorrow?
Are you be able to record the part of the cycling that you will miss watching "live"? so you can view it later ?
But I know just what you mean by not being "there" to be supportive at the time!
I yell encouragement at the box when I'm watching Athletics! particularly the track events
I feel my "presence" and encouragement helps contribute to their success!
We have our granddaughter and her mum coming today after school!

Hello, Elle!
That's good you got your prog to watch.
Good of Eirlys to put you on track.
My snow has gone although I see it on the hills to the North.
I am being collected at 11 by Miss Around the World.
My machine is set to record it.
Watching the first stage of the mens race now.
I read that Pete Kennaugh retracted a condescending remark he made on Twitter yesterday, about womens racing.
He, apparently, was swiftly put in his Neanderthal place by Emma Poolley. All five foot two and a half of her!
Well done, Emma!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Yes, I was very thankful to be able to see the final finish to my programme.
It was very kind of Eirlys to come to my rescue!
And I now know what to do, should a future similar situation arise!
I read that Pete Kennaugh has been supporting Shane Sutton in his attitude to women's cycle racing?
I think your word "neanderthal" describes the ongoing sexism and discrimination "row" very aptly!
We are now awaiting our granddaughter's arrival....she has a ballet lesson after school which finishes right about now (4 o'clock), so she and mum should be here within the next half an hour.
How is your cycling going?
What sort of weather are they having up in Yorkshire?
It is sunny and bright - but still very "parky" - here!

Helloi, Elle,
They have had quite a bit of rain in Yorkshire.
Dry just now.
There are quite a few with Kennaugh's attitude.
He offered a grovelling apology to Emma Poolley.
A pity he did not run into Nicole Cooke!
She would not miss him!
Hope you enjoy the wee one's visit.
I like what I see of Yorkshire!

Phew, just survived most of a six year old's party. Aren't that age boys pretty disgusting?
I found 2 fighting on the trampoline and told them to stop. They seemed mildly surprised and asked me what else they couldn't do. I told them they could bounce and that was that. They didn't stay long!
What some of them said over tea doesn't bear repeating. I remembered my father saying that was that after my brother's 6th birthday party.
They did all enjoy the water pistol fight in the garden, though. It was quite a tidy up afterwards.
Ah well, that it for another year
Phew
I am having a glass of, and that will probably turn to 2. White port, chilled

Good evening, Rusty!
Whew! family just gone home!
How is that one small six year old girl can be so much more exhausting than three boys aged 8, 5 and 4, all put together?
Our granddaughter is delightful....... but I am worn out!
How was the cycling?
We didn't get Yorkshire's rain - nor your snow!
We have had sunshine all the day - how about that?
But it remains very cold.
Did you get the chance to do your crossword today? Any untoward clues?
Or have you been too busy watching the cycling and the Yorkshire scenery?
I shall now go and make come coffee to revive us....and then I shall sit down and relax........
