Hi, Rusty!
I was browsing the web looking up Indian versus Native American after Malone's earlier clue, and came across this......
"The Cree Indians are a vast tribe of Native Americans......."
Hedging their bets?????
It is interesting about the ospreys - I wonder if the tagging system works similar to that for the swans?
I expect Doglet would know...she is well up on swans and that sort of thing....... (remember the Swan Upping?).......maybe she will read this and tell us.
I am off now so that I am back in time for the Athletics.......dare I mention that the programme featuring Seb Coe and the anti- drug measures is immediately before the Half Marathon?
Yes, I do know what you think about his lordship! (and the BBC!) but I thought if you watched the programme we could discuss it?
Just a thought.......
Talk later........

Malone, yes, I got that one , too!
but probably only because Rusty said it was his local river!

Hi, Rusty,
Not sure if you are about?
Did you watch the Half Marathon?
What an event!
The women's race went more or less as expected, without too much excitement........ but the men's race was quite another matter!
Did you see Kamcromor - one of the Kenyans - fall at the very beginning?
Quite a nasty hard fall - you should have seen the severe abrasions on his knees!
However he ran as he did afterwards, I really do not know!
It was a hard fought race between two of the Kenyans, with Kamcromor winning despite his mishap.
Mo Farah fought very hard indeed - apparently running faster than usual - to come third and take the Bronze medal.
And the weather conditions...whew!
The women' s race was reasonable, as it wasn't raining then, but the men had to contend with a torrential downpour, and with severe winds nearly blowing them over whenever they came to a road intersection!

Good evening, Elle!
Yes, I are about.
I saw quite a bit of the half marathon.
Pity about the weather!
Did not seem to trouble the Kenyans.
Mo will not be too fit, yet. Rio is his goal.
I saw a bit of the chat with Paula, Seb, and Steve Cram.
Was interesting!
And you got Malone's clue about my river!
Well done!
Times was a bit of a mixture today.
Some straightforward, some tricky.
I have been trying to find out when BGT starts, but no luck!
Should be soon, though.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been watching "The Voice".
There is a bit of a mystery there........two of the artists pulled out just prior to the "live" show.
One seemingly on "health grounds", the other for "personal reasons".
No indication as to what is behind this....... the former was great; I'm sorry that, for whatever reason, she is no longer in the running.
The programme about the "clean up" of Athletics was good, I thought?
Steve Cram as the presenter was a good move; it gave credence to the whole thing......
I have a lot of time for Steve. I feel he is a genuine person.
I felt for Jo Pavey when she said that she regretted the medals that she might have won had the sport been "clean".
I think that there is talk of BGT starting next month, on either April 9th or 16th?
I read that somewhere.......

Hello, Elle!
I missed Jo! I like her, too.
I agree regarding Steve Cram.
I have always liked him, and big Bren.
Steve did fine, I thought.
Goodness knows what will happen.
Drugs are rife in many sports.
i understand Jo's point.
Many athletes must feel like that.
That's good BGT is on soon.
I think Alesha said there is a singing dog appearing.
Can't wait!

Good morning, Rusty!
Happy Easter!
When I got up this morning, it was still rather dark due to the forwarding of the clocks!
And fell dreich!
Jo was on at the very beginning....... in the introduction to the programme there were odd shots of some of the athletes making comments on the drug situation.
Jess Ennis - Hill was in another clip.
Yes, I like Brendan Foster, too.
He and Steve are very "real" personalities and I have faith in them.
We are going out with the dog shortly.......then we are going to our (younger) daughter's house for lunch.
BB is excited at the thought of getting Easter eggs!
I have bought a little gift for the baby, too (cannot leave him out!)
What are you planning to do today?

Good morning, Elle!
Easter greetings to you, too!
Fine morning here, so far, but the forecast is not great.
It was fairly wild and wet last night.
I missed Jess, too? Goodness!
I like Jess.
Hope you enjoy your day at your daughter's.
No plans here. I shall avoid the park.
My local council may have something on and it is usually accompanied by loud pop music. Not for me!
Will watch a bit of the Tour of Catalunya later, and the golf is on.
I have a wee bet on Lydia Ko to win ladies golf but unfortunately it is not televised.
PS.
Laddie the osprey is back from Africa!

Hello again, Elle!
Was watching the osprey webcam just now.
Laddie is bringing large sticks to the nest to improve it.
What an exciting life I have, watching it!

Hi everyone, and happy Easter,

Rusty, there is a wooden house/nest above the garage door, right under the eaves of the roof and inside this, there is a small camera -
at present, a small blue tit is in the process of laying eggs; only three so far, but she lays about one or two a day.

Last year, there were 11 eggs in there and 9 of them hatched ! It was getting a little crowded in there towards the end - but how fascinating it was to watch the progress every day; better than television !

Weather very mild and showery.

Good afternoon, Pigale!
That sounds great!
Hope your blue tit lays a few more eggs!
Much better than television, yes!
I look at the osprey webcam on and off during the day.
It is pretty windy there today.
If I am lucky, I can see the male, Laddie, fly in with a nice fat trout from the loch!

Hello, Elle!
There is a piece on BBC Text about The Voice.
They are reporting that one contestant has withdrawn because of "drug issues". She has used cocaine.
The other one has " health issues".
Best get Seb Coe on the case!
