Any word about Nina? Is she appealing her suspension?
I am somewhat surprised that you support her so avidly if you do not approve of the use of the whip?
.......although , having said that, maybe all (or most?) of the jockeys use their whips?
I have never really noticed before, until watching Victoria race in the Foxhunters' chase.
Right.... a quick cup of coffee and them I am away to have my hair trimmed!!

Not too bad a day here.
Just been watching the hearses arriving in Derry with the family who drowned at Buncrana. Heartbreaking stuff.
Nina is a great jockey, whip or no whip.
There are very few male jockeys who can match her.
She is a master of her craft, hence my admiration.
I do not know if she is appealing, but On The Fringe is heading to Aintree, and the trainer hopes to book Jamie Codd for the ride, if Nina is stood down.
Jamie deputised for Nina already this season when she was injured.
I got a glowing report from the nurse for my annual MOT today. That is pleasing!

I saw the picture posted online of the suspect terrorists walking calmly along with their luggage..........

I went to have my hair cut this morning! I decided that Spring ( now that we are officially one day into it!) needed to be celebrated with a slightly shorter hairstyle
I was only brave enough though to have an inch cut off........when "push came to shove"!
I am glad that your MOT results were good! Always a relief , isn't it?

My BP was up a bit, but the nurse is not worried.
She suggested I get a pedometer and count the steps I take each day. I talked her out of that, though.
Going back to see her in three weeks.
She was telling me she has recently bought a "granddaughter" clock. I had never heard of them before?
Mind you, there are a lot of things that have passed me by!

I used to have a pedometer a few years back!
You could set it either to register the number of steps taken or the mileage covered.
I was astounded to discover that I covered about twelve miles a day - walking the dog, doing the housework, going to the shops etc!
(I wonder what happened to it....?)
Your BP might be up a bit due to what they call "white coat syndrome".
This means that your blood pressure is higher when it is taken in a medical setting than it is when taken at home.
Often a patient is recommended to have his own BP monitor and take his blood pressure within the home environment.

I see that there is a special programme scheduled on Saturday on BBC1 at 1pm entitled "Can Seb Coe Save Athletics?"
In it, the President of the IAAF will outline his plans to clean up Athletics!

I have a BP monitor but have not used it in yonks.
No, I think my BP is up because I have put weight on.
I have been known to have two teas, for instance.
I will put batteries in monitor and keep an eye on it while endeavouring to eat less!
There are quite a few granddaughter clocks on eBay.
Seb Coe is part of the problem and has been for years.
I would much rather see a German TV programme on him.
I think it would be much more honest than a BBC programme.
Can't see me watching it!

Now, you cannot criticise either Seb, or his measures for dealing with the drug problems within Athletics, unless you watch the programme?
Wouldn't it be a good idea to watch it so that you can at least hear what he has to say?
Whether or not you like him as an individual is immaterial here.
You need to be aware of what is "in the wind"..........
(Besides, we cannot discuss it if you don't watch it!)

Well, I knew of course that we wouldn't agree on this!
But how is your day? are you having sunshine?
It is lovely here.......you never know, my friend and I may even be able to sit out in the pub garden to have lunch!
That would be a nice indication of Spring!
