Good afternoon, Rusty!
The sun is still shining! Lovely out!
It's been another bad day today for disaster and deaths.
Those terrorists attacks in Brussels are dreadful.
I saw the picture posted online of the suspect terrorists walking calmly along with their luggage..........
What a sad world we live in.......it augers ill for our grandchildren........
I went to have my hair cut this morning! I decided that Spring ( now that we are officially one day into it!) needed to be celebrated with a slightly shorter hairstyle
I was only brave enough though to have an inch cut off........when "push came to shove"!
I am glad that your MOT results were good! Always a relief , isn't it?

Helloi, Elle!
Very bad in Brussels.
Just appalling.
Been decent weather here today.
My hair could be doing with a trim too!
More than an inch though!
My BP was up a bit, but the nurse is not worried.
She suggested I get a pedometer and count the steps I take each day. I talked her out of that, though.
Going back to see her in three weeks.
She was telling me she has recently bought a "granddaughter" clock. I had never heard of them before?
Mind you, there are a lot of things that have passed me by!

Hi, Rusty!
I used to have a pedometer a few years back!
You could set it either to register the number of steps taken or the mileage covered.
I was astounded to discover that I covered about twelve miles a day - walking the dog, doing the housework, going to the shops etc!
(I wonder what happened to it....?)
Your BP might be up a bit due to what they call "white coat syndrome".
This means that your blood pressure is higher when it is taken in a medical setting than it is when taken at home.
Often a patient is recommended to have his own BP monitor and take his blood pressure within the home environment.
No, I haven't heard of a granddaughter clock, either?
I've heard of a grandmother clock though!
I have just been browsing through our new TV guide..........
I see that there is a special programme scheduled on Saturday on BBC1 at 1pm entitled "Can Seb Coe Save Athletics?"
In it, the President of the IAAF will outline his plans to clean up Athletics!

Hello, Elle!
I have a BP monitor but have not used it in yonks.
No, I think my BP is up because I have put weight on.
I have been known to have two teas, for instance.
I will put batteries in monitor and keep an eye on it while endeavouring to eat less!
There are quite a few granddaughter clocks on eBay.
Seb Coe is part of the problem and has been for years.
I would much rather see a German TV programme on him.
I think it would be much more honest than a BBC programme.
Can't see me watching it!

Good morning, Rusty!
Another lovely day! It was good to be out!
Now, you cannot criticise either Seb, or his measures for dealing with the drug problems within Athletics, unless you watch the programme?
Wouldn't it be a good idea to watch it so that you can at least hear what he has to say?
Whether or not you like him as an individual is immaterial here.
You need to be aware of what is "in the wind"..........
(Besides, we cannot discuss it if you don't watch it!)
Yes, I guess it is a good idea to keep an eye on your BP at home.
And maybe eat fewer bacon rolls......?!
Actually, you haven't mentioned going out to the Pine Cone recently?
Speaking of going out........
I am off out to lunch today to meet one of my old school friends.
We are driving out into the country to have lunch at a village pub!
It should be good!

Good morning, Elle.
Coe and his ilk who have been closely aligned with Nike for years will not solve any problems.
They are part of the problem.
I certainly do not have any time for him.
This sounds like a propaganda piece being put out by BBC and I am not remotely interested in what the BBC say about anything.

New brooms are required.

Hello Everyone,

Hi Rusty - I think you might try to eat a lot of beetroot - I was told by a few people that the stuff is very good for BP; Hope you like it ?

BTW, what is a 'grand-daughter clock' ?

Hi, Rusty!
Well, I knew of course that we wouldn't agree on this!
But how is your day? are you having sunshine?
It is lovely here.......you never know, my friend and I may even be able to sit out in the pub garden to have lunch!
That would be a nice indication of Spring!
Anyway, I must away now and get changed....I have a tram to catch!
Talk later.......

Hello, Pigale!
There are many things folk say will reduce BP.
Fish oil, garlic, beetroot etc.
I am fond of beetroot.
I think the one which I shall do is, "eat less, move more".
Seems very simple.
As far as I can make out, a granddaughter clock is a smaller version of a grandmother clock, which is smaller than a grandfather clock. There are many on eBay.
I don't know if there is such a thing as a " grandson" clock!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I have had a very enjoyable day!
We drove out to a village called Warlingham - don't ask me where it is other than somewhere in Surrey!
We had a delicious lunch in a very old pub where there was even a log fire!
We had a good chat as always and attempted to put the world to rights!
I have just finished today's Times QC.
There was a clue I liked.......
Old king - just, we hear, and opposing harshness first of all (7)
What have you been doing with your day?
Did you put into action your new policy of "eat less, move more"...?
I had to smile when I read that!
It is a policy probably most of us could take on board!
