Hello, Elle!
I went for a wee walk about an hour ago.
Liked the fresh air!
I am sure you loved seeing your family.
They have got a beagle.
A little girl pup!
And they are delighted, especially the young ones!
A new member of the family!

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just home from my walk.
A lovely day here......sunshine and blue sky....a tad chilly as yet.
I hope you are feeling better this morning?
Have you been out for your paper?

Good morning, Elle.
A fine misty morning here.
Yes, I have improved.
No paper today.
Done my puzzle on-line.

Hi, Rusty!
Well, that was somewhat of an enigmatic answer!
I am glad that you have improved.......but am I to assume not enough to go out for your paper, as you have again done it on line?
You are a past master at being evasive!
Seriously though, I do hope you are now getting over your bug?
I have been tidying out and then reorganising my wardrobe....
Not the clothes hanging in it, but the accumulation of odds and sods piled up in the bottom!
I think this might warrant a visit to the charity shop later!
No puzzle for me as yet.....I haven't sat down till writing this!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I just made it home this afternoon in time for my daughter phoning whilst on her train journey!
We usually try to speak for about an hour every day.
She is trying hard to get in some practice for her Marathon Shine Night Walk on Saturday.
I think the event runs through from 7pm to 4am
She will be exhausted by the time she reaches home on Sunday!
It is a good effort that she is making for the Charity , though, and I hope she gets a lot of support from family and friends.
I managed to do most of my crossword earlier, before going out with the dog.
But am stuck on 1a and 26a if you are able to help?
Your son will be visiting you soon?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, my son will visit in a minute or two.
1a, "inductee" for I have joined.
"In" is in clue, "cud" can be chewed, and the supporter is "tee".
26 is "totalisator", you can bet on it.
Entire is "total" plus anagram of "rota is".
Excuse the brevity, but i am pushed for time today.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, thank you.
I rather like "inductee".
I have never heard of "totalisator"...I had to look that up!
Yes, I can follow the parsing now...but would never have got it by myself.
The help is much appreciated.
I hope you had a good time with your son.

Good morning, Rusty!
I hope all is okay, and that yesterday went all right.
I couldn't get onto the Forum all day, so couldn't enquire how things were at your end.
I could log on, and access the main Menu page, but couldn't open any of the threads, nor post one of my own, so I was completely stymied.
I have just checked out the system, and it seems, so far, to be working normally for me this morning.....
So I will send this whilst I am still able, just in case problems arise again later.
I am shortly going to take the dog out for her early morning walk!
The sun is shining, but there is a sharp Autumnal chill in the air.....

Good morning, Elle!
Fine morning here.
All OK, here.
Strange you could not access the Forum yesterday.
A temporary glitch, it seems.
A walk sounds a good idea.

Hi, Rusty!
Home again!
A very enjoyable walk.
The day is warming up nicely.... it was only 10C when I went out...but the temperature on my return is now 18C, and set to rise (so we are told) to 24 degrees by mid-afternoon.
The last day of Summer maybe?
We are supposedly having thunderstorms and heavy rain tomorrow!
Right..... coffee and the crossword now, I think....
Have you already done your puzzle?
