Thanks, Tyke51, I tried to avoid using the 'slasher' word - I've always hated that designation!

Sorry, Pigale - I maybe should have been more explicit about the film containing lots of cuts, acts of violence!

The `cutting room ` floor might be the best place for the whole film!

To take our minds off the horrors of horror films … 'Brief Encounter' is being shown on television this weekend. That's one of my favourite films.

I'm afraid I'm not much of a film fan really. I've never seen 'Casablanca' or 'African Queen' ( or 'The Wizard of Oz' or 'Gone With The Wind' or loads and loads of others).

and I did not even know 'Halloween' was a film! To me, it only
a celebration taking place on 31st October!

I'm part of a team working on a James Bond themed quiz* at the moment. Trouble is, I've only read 3 of the books and seen 2 of the films!

(*It's considerably more complicated than that!)

Pigale, it's sometimes good to be reminded of the gaps in our knowledge! 'Halloween', the film, was a huge success in 1978 - followed by sequels and a remake and … goodness knows what else!
