Hello, Elle!
Snap!
Beautiful day here, and mild, too.
Rose's Feedback column gets many queries or complaints from folk about many different things which have appeared in the paper.
Crosswords feature from time to time.
She can't put everything in her column, I'd say.
I certainly do not think she has overlooked you, but other subjects took priority.
Today, her topics were, Christmas presents, admirals, Botticelli, and Alvin and the Chipmunks got a mention!
I think she decided crossword puzzles are Mr R's pigeon and passed your email on to him.
Seems sensible?
ASDA was not as busy as I expected.
Yes, there is men's and women's skiing on at various times today.

Hi, Rusty!
I have been out to deliver the Christmas presents to my "old" neighbour and family.
They have visitors from Belgium over to see them for Christmas.
I have but one other errand to do......but I need my husband to drive me there.
I am working on that.....!
In the meantime , I shall make a coffee and take a look at the crossword.......
Have you done your puzzle?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I finished the puzzle earlier!
No more puzzles until Monday, now.
And I am not sure if I'll have time to fit it in on Monday.
Could be a busy day!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I am back home again now...…..mission accomplished!
I am here now for the duration of the day.
All my presents are finally bought.
I shall finish the wrapping this afternoon......and then, hopefully, I can relax!
But you sound very busy yourself......
You are going to the Pine Cone tomorrow with Miss O, and then you have your eldest granddaughter coming to see you on Monday, haven't you?
I am hopefully looking forward now to two quiet days, before the onslaught begins!
I still haven't got around to starting the crossword!

Hello, Elle!
I am visiting my daughter-in-law on Monday, after ASDA, then my granddaughter is coming to see me, then my son will visit.
So Monday will be quite busy (for me).
I am going out soon to put some petrol in my car in case I have to do some unexpected driving in the next day or two.
Had a look at the Loch site earlier.
Beautiful day there, with ducks on the loch.

Congratulations on receiving an apology from RR. I am pleased he admitted the error. Well done for taking it up with him. I agree with Tykes comment that these matters are important.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been talking to my daughter.
She has cleverly found a way of inveigling her husband into helping her to wrap all the presents...
She just makes a hash of it and he then takes over, claiming that he can do it better.....
Now why didn't I think of that....?
Yes, Monday.....Christmas Eve ...is indeed going to be a busy day for you.
What are you planning for Christmas Day itself?

Thank you, Jigjag!
I am sure I was not alone in challenging the accuracy of the "Bolton" clue....
I am pleased with the result.

Hello, Elle!
On Christmas Day some of my granddaughters are coming to see me (I am looking forward to that!), and after that I have the day to myself.
I have no plans.
Basically, once I get past Monday it will be plain sailing.

Hi, Rusty!
It sounds as though Christmas Eve will be your busiest day for visiting and celebrating!
But don't you usually go to see your son on Christmas morning?
I know that the girls always come to see you in the afternoon on Christmas Day!
Yes, that will be something special to which to look forward!
They will be wanting to tell you all about their Christmas surprises!
We are going to our younger daughter's for Christmas lunch.
Our son-in-law does the cooking!
I gather we are having turkey and roast beef, both with all the trimmings....
I am feeling hungry already!
Boxing Day will be just the two of us...unless friends drop in, as often happens.
Then on the Thursday, our elder daughter and family are coming to stay until after the New Year.
I love Christmas!

Hello, Elle!
Oh, yes, Christmas Eve and New Year's Day are my busiest days.
My son is working on Christmas Day, not sure about Monday though.
I think it will be my daughter-in-law and Miss O'Hara at home then.
The young ones always visit me on the day, then off to their Gran's for their tea.
I have bought a steak pie for my Christmas dinner/tea.
