Yep, agreed. I realised that there was no ambiguity - silly me.

I'm new to this site and can't work out how to ask a new question about the Genius (as opposed to clicking on "Reply to" someone which is what I've just done - apologies if this is against the rules!) Anyway, I'm completely stuck on 17a - a tiny hint please as I've completed the rest, though I only seem to have 7 phrases with a changed letter.

it's a palindrome
Have you changed 24a last letter for one of the 9 ?

To ask a new question on the same thread, use "add reply" as oppsed to "reply to this post"

Whatever you did it's fine anyway!

Teenie and ixion: the colour of the beast is a bugger. I've looked at some images of the snout, and don't see any B and W there either. Anyway, whatever ....

Before getting the answer, I'd been looking for a B to start the first word, and a W to end the second (B and W "coat" if you see what I mean).
