Hi JustSolve, Troy provides a single letter (an abbreviation for the weight).

I have a full grid so happy with my answer but if 12 is doing quite what I think it is then it strikes me it could be quibbled with. But I may be overthinking it.

Back to DNFs. 6 or 7 clues where I have no idea what's going on. Maybe I'll take up wordsearch instead.

I have to admit I'm struggling with this. Maybe I'm not on Imogen's wavelength today. A few words I didn't know but thankfully parse well, 14d for one, and some that seem a bit loose. I think 16a is going over my head somewhat. Sure I have the right answer but 9a doesn't really read right if I have.

I appreciate some hints have already been given but any other possible nudges for 9a gratefully received.

I was also miffed by this one until I realized that 16 does not refer to 16 across.

16a - if you remove the 3 letter "bad service" (think sport), all should become clear.

OK thanks Brendan. Bad service is perhaps a bit strong.

Just 9a and 5d left but this is a slog for me. I can't find words to fit either.
