General Query to anyone who can help.

I've filled the grid, sorted the Dials, got a six letter phrase.

But hit the wall. Any hints as to how to apply the phrase to track down the four entries needed to submit?

buzzybee@61--ah, that's what I meant; I was just looking for a non-spoily way of specifying one of the names. The shortened form being one I've never really heard.

As far as attaining the final rank here, I did use a couple of external resources, including an anagram finder for one I should've got, and the hints here!

puzzledpom@69: hints in increasing order, though none *utterly* spoily.

1. The necessary information is not all to be found within the puzzle, but the other source is the kind of thing that should be fairly accessible to someone who has got this far with this puzzle.

2. If you look at the thanks in my comment at 60, there is a reason why they are slightly unusual.

3. Think about the last two words of the six-word phrase. (The last word is sort of an adjective that is serving as a noun.)
