I'm stuck on Radial 9:
(R)evolver to cause the downfall of one from old Greek metropolis (5)
---could someone help me out?
And I'm not confident of my parsing for radials 1 and 13, and would appreciate reassurance.
(Thanks for saying about the superfluous bars---I'd been trying to fight my way round accepting this!!)

The usual miracle of posting---I've now got 9. I'd done my letter removal in the wrong place!

Thanks so much Mattrom. All now filled in.
I'm surprised at my not seeing Radial1---the synonym used for bilge is a favourite word of mine!

All done, except that I cannot parse radial 12, despite being fairly certain of the answer. Hint appreciated.

Just to get back to oldwolfie @51/52 on radial 9 -- I just looked back at my grid to realise that I have a blank cell as I haven't solved that clue!

And I can't make any letter fit the gap to make a known word, which makes me think I may have made a bish of a neighbouring clue or two...

Can some kind soul give me the hint on 9 that oldwolfie no longer needs? 😁

0pt0, re 12 parse - the first word in the clue and the first part of the answer share a definition in Chambers, albeit both are antipodean slang.

Robt- for 9 have you checked the discussion around #20 ?
That gave it away for me!

Graham - yes, and I’m none the wiser 😆 so it’s either a gap in my general knowledge or a mistake I’ve made elsewhere in the ‘grid’…

Robt - think of ancient metropolis famous in literature/mythology mainly for its loss of independence. The adjective is nothing like the city name, but Bradford is your friend.
