My thought on 21a was that it might better be classed as 1,4?

Still curious about parsing of 14a. We think the last three letters correspond to the last word but then can’t get the school or the mark and tick….

We liked the puzzle though!

There's a three-letter word for a school of whales (generally only seen in crosswords), not contiguous. I don't see the mark and tick either.

Yes, school is reversed over mark (currency once) and tick (short time).

Thanks jono. I don't think I've seen "tick" used to mean that before.
