Further to your comments on prize winners I was also a winner of a £15 book token for Everyman 4131 back in December. Happily spent on air fryer cook books.

Just read through all the clues and got nary a one. A second read through might prove to be my in. Am I losing it?

I first won the prize some forty years ago when I bought a gardening book with the book token. I won a second time with my friend about ten years ago, but since joining the forum and getting hints I haven't submitted any. And my friend in Sheffield died,

Hi Roof,

Two wins is impressive, not least because of the length of time between them.

If you're looking for a foothold, I suggest 19a and 11d. Both are long answers and should get you going:-)

I'm surprised myself by this definition in Chambers of the second word:-

"In a crossword, the word (or sometimes an individual letter in a word) on the diagram that is the answer to a clue"

Oh, well that clears that up!!!
