Brendan, I don't visit 225 often because I don't like the general vibe of their poster community. Too many petty complaints and whingeing for my taste. I post there occasionally. jono posts there as Jay, but I don't know how often.

I doubt it's an us/them thing. Probably communities that independently evolved in different directions. I never visit the Answer Bank forum any more due to their ad popups, but that community also has (had?) next to no overlap with this one.

I think the main raison d'etre of 225 is the complaints about clues!

I recall a couple of hilarious occasions on 225 when the irascible Tees went after complainants in most rude fashion, even once including an obscenity iirc. To be honest, I got the impression he was in his cups. 🤣

Okay, thanks for your replies guys, they were interesting.

I think what has prompted my curiosity over time is that there have been many occasions when, regarding the Prize say, there's been discussions and queries on points that we'd resolved a week earlier, but I never once saw us so much as referenced in passing. That just struck me as odd, given we're both basically doing the same thing.

On a wider point, and I don't mean to sound partisan, but this blog is so much friendlier and welcoming than theirs.
