Is anyone else struggling on 37 across and 35 down? I’d appreciate a nudge. By my standards I’m making good progress and would like to carry on. So many thanks

37a was the last one I solved. As it suggests, something fills something else; the definition is the last word. I only worked out the parsing after I had everything else.
35d is similarly tricky: the definition is at the start; the parsing involved a word new to me.

SH, I've been having problems logging in and posting for the last couple of weeks. I reported it, but it's no better. I accidentally clicked on 'accept ads' a couple of months ago and there seems no way of rescinding it. They drive me mad. Maybe the website's capacity is so busy making the ads jump around that it can't cope with us as well.

All done and now charmingly enlightened. Many thanks Mountain Ledges. A nudge towards that last PDM would be helpful. Rugby Line Compromise anybody?

I have finished all save the parsing of 20. I prefer to put this to bed, so a hint would be welcome.

Working backwards then, darla, if you alter a compass point by 90 degrees you should how the wordplay works.

D’oh! Thank you, nick. I kept seeing almost an anagram of onset and was fixated on that.

specsaver, there is a misprint and a word for the corrected word is truncated and put around the usual colonist.
