Very fun puzzle, especially the PDM on the title!

I simply cannot parse 34a, that is if the last two words in the clue are the definition.

Gitto: there is a misprint in reverse

Brilliant CD, you've put me out of my misery AND given me another misprint at the same time.

I think that I have made a breakthrough if the 20 letters spell 4 words, 2+2.

I don't understand 6d

Neither do I. The wordplay seems very straightforward, but the misprint leading to an E defeats me. I am in a similar position with 36a, where the misprint leads to a W. Still can't solve 4a, 21a or 39a, none of which appear to have a misprint.

6 is cheeky. First word gets adjusted to a place in Scotland. Northern means going up.

2 * 2 words is right gitto

Thanks SH. 4a is really bugging me. I have an answer, but cannot parse any of it, even though the clash it creates is connected to a thematic location and in the right place.
