Very much business as usual for the Everyman this week. Just thought I'd start a thread as there wasn't one here!

Yes indeed.

This was fun, but not easy due to long anagrams.
COD 19d, also liked 11, 2 and 5.

I’d have to say I wasn’t familiar with the term, as defined, in 11a , and its not in Chambers, Collins or ODE with that definition. I read the earliest use is attributed to Jimmy Durante.

Cosmo re 16A - 'track' as in animal footprint (not a common word). Definition is 'back'.

Jono re 11a I've noticed Everyman does throw in hardcore Americanisms every now and again. Can only presume he lived there for a while as I can't believe anyone on this side of the Pond has ever used this particular one.

The beauty of 16a is the misdirection. Back as a verb not an indicator of reversing letters. CoD for me.
