I think FINEST, based on FIT for match and S for moments at the climax, but am not sure about the NE.

Sorry for the obscurity but I understand that Bharat prefers hints to begin with. My own solution is rather the opposite in sense and could of course be entirely wrong

The usual crossword symbols for one and left inside a 3-letter verb meaning (at a pinch) to match that contains 1 letter from moments
