Please help me in parsing / solving this cryptic clue -
"Ridicule, inane lampoons about anything ordinary, going against the grain? (5,2,5)"

Laugh To Scorn is a phrase meaning 'to ridicule' and is in Chambers dictionary, but I haven't, can't parse it. Maybe Quisling, parser extraordinaire, will come along...
PS Or maybe there's a better phrase, I felt we were going to have an anagram (inane) involving Lampoons.

I too thought about this phrase. Corn is grain. lampoons is laughs. But unable to parse for TO - from anything ordinary. If ordinary is O, then how to account for T? Still not able to neatly parse it for this phrase.

'anything' might be AUGHT, but then I can't make sense of the remaining LOS.

Thanks, Bharat. I also wondered what purpose 'inane' serves?
