Does anyone understand the choice of the word “Amorim” in 11a?
I’m not entirely sure what it means or what it adds to the surface reading.

Jono, I assumed it was just the last letter of Amorim which contributed to the anagram? I'm finding this extremely tough btw

Hi Jono,

11a - Ruben Amorim is the manager of Manchester "United", so as well as giving part of the answer it adds relevance to United.

Hi Neville,

It is a cricket term and they're is a cricket called Scott Boland bit I think that's just a coincidence. In this instance Scotty is from Star Trek.

If my 3d is correct it would be quite a dangerous manoeuvre to try to duck under it!

Hi Redpete,

3d - Chambers gives one definition as "a fast head high ball" so ducking under it would be well advised.
