I have never seen the Bank Holiday jumbo appear in the app. I usually have to print it out or buy the paper.

Finding this tough. I have two and a half hours on the train to London later where I hope to make progress but then I'm off to Temple for a few jars so that will be the end of that if I'm not finished. Can anyone explain 'squat' in 6d please? Or have I got the wrong first word?

Hi Rocky,

6d - "squat" is 4 letters and the first word, followed by "landladt perhaps" .- definition is "communication from the heart

Hi Rocky yes you always have to print out the holiday specials but they generally give you the crossword with a pdf or print link?

In fact Chambers nor Collins carry that meaning of squat on its own. You have to look under diddly.

Thanks Brendan but it's early and I'm clearly missing something. There's an obvious solution. Landlady perhaps I've got no problem. But the obvious first word doesn't fit squat. Or does it?

I have an answer for 19d from the wordplay but don't think it can apply to good beer guide. Or am I wrong?

Hi Samuipete,

19d - If you Google CAMRA it might suggest that a member is an 3,6 with the 3 not including "English" and the 6 not icluding "independent"

Hi Brendan, but can the answer be a real ale guide. If it can it's my clue of the day easily

Our posts crossed Samuipete and I initially thought the same thing but after a bit of research on Google it seems that the answer does indeed contain "good beer guides".

Plus Chambers says ".... containing a variety of factual information".
