Hi Ilippu,

That was my COD also as, no doubt just as Brendan intended, it took an absolute age to work out where the N came from.

Hi brendan

By then I had a few themesters and was able to work it out.

Still, it's an awesome theme. Often fell for the Arsenic trick - this is at another level altogether.

The thematic part of 16 is not that rare a device but always brings a smile.

Hi geeker

True. Mev had it last Saturday in Indy; a very different wordplay.

Hi Brendan, yes struggling a lot. Have 15 though, the first (ish) film I ever saw. The Rex in greenwich.

Very good I thought, worthy of the prize slot. Found the SE corner the trickiest. 1957 rang a distant bell but wasn’t sure of it. It may have come up before. Noted that 2d has the potential to trip up without the full parse.

Cheers all,

I'm finding this a struggle, with several entered unparsed. About half a dozen left, mostly in the SW. Could I have a hint for 14d, please?

I think I've seen the theme, but unfortunately this means I've got 20d wrong!

Hi Chris, 14d is an anagram (with a letter removed)

Thanks jono. Still can't work it out, though. Which is "endless"?

Strongman is endless. The definition is thematic (though I can see an argument that’s it’s not entirely accurate…)
