This little note might not be necessary, but I'm erring on the side of caution...

For those who wanted Norah to remove posts, did you use the Report button or email Norah? If you did neither, this is just a reminder that Norah doesn't read all the posts, on Listener or indeed any of the threads. I've let her know about these requests today, but this information might be useful to someone, anyone, in the future.

Jordan, I have deleted the text of Post 19, I have no idea what you mean about “delete my ID”.

Thank you, Malone. I was too focussed on the issue rather than the mechanics; your corrective is much appreciated. I’m sorry also that I have obviously upset Jordan but I stick to my guns. (And - for those with very long memories - my last pipe remains belayed!)

Jack Aubrey, thanks. I didn't want to be seen as interfering, meddling, but I know from past experience that it's sometimes assumed that Norah reads every post on every thread.
PS I am off to look up 'belayed', I recognise it as a word - but that's all!

Malone, please don’t search too far. Given my naval persona I sometimes use the phrase “belay my last pipe” to mean “ignore my last message”. Many moons ago, you pointed out that this was a very unfortunate usage on my part in a thread about a Listener (or possibly an EV) whose theme was “ceci n’est pas un pipe”.

Oh, thanks, Jack. I'm quite happy now I know the meaning. My brain obviously didn't retain it last time round!
