Hi Jvector,

13a - 5 letter word for "shaves" (as in you might do the skin of a fruit) reversed/'back' - definition is a retired (I think) British "ballet dancer" although I think he was known more for other types of dance and appeared in some Lloyd Webber productions.

Thanks Brendan - yes, I have indeed heard of 13 : I was totally barking up the wrong tree looking for a six letter ballet that I could 'shav' the back letter off to get some dancer!

It's just occurred to me that with our favourite pop diva at 18a, you can in fact make two completely different 'Uxbridge English Dictionary'-words by adding 'ry' and 'ish' ! :-)
