21a - I'm not sure if this qualifies as an &lit but the wordplay is single letter "caught" then "man" with the definition being "caught man"

Just a point of note. In last week’s prize by Brummie we all commented that the wordplay in 22a didn’t quite work. It was in fact a mistake, and a new clue has been published.

Original clue
Bob's rather twee, Roger admitted (7)

New clue
Bob Short? OK on reflection! (7)

Apologies Geeker,

14d - I completely missed your post at @14 but I love it - I'm sure Paul could come up with some great clues for this, perhaps some homophones if we're not too fussy about the pronunciation 😂

Having struggled in recent weeks, I found this prize from Paul fairly straightforward. FOI 19, LOI 23 although should have got that homophone quicker as I've seen it before!
Agree with some that COD has to be 16,4 - extremely clever construction.
Thanks Paul for enjoyable challenge.

chrise, the defn. of 25 is "stud". Take a step back (so to speak) and look at the clue...eventually you'll kick yourself like I did.

😂 Love it - maybe Daley Thompson could be persuaded to come out of retirement, add an S to the start of his pronoun and Bob's your uncle ...or auntie 😉🤔

Hi Docrum,

29a - 4 letter "bouts of laughter" goes around 4 letter "intimate" - definition is "creative expression" - I had to check Chambers to see if a possible 5 letter word appearing in the answer might possibly mean 'fits of laughter' - no! 😂
