10 a O?O?D. The boat one. There is one word which fits and seems to have no connection to boats or flying, being a shape. Never heard of 8d even though I have worked at 3 UK coal mines. Otherwise quite enjoyable once you get brain on the wavelength

Cheers, Chrise. I took the roughly of 23 without thinking about the more.

yes, the "more than" pareses better, as it includes an anagram of germany's capital, as well as G

Well - thanks for ALL the helpful hints. I'm finding this way harder than the Everymans, & still only 2/3 done.

Hi Barry,

I'd say that as a general rule of thumb, the Guardian Prize is usually quite a bit more difficult than the Everyman - with the exception of last week, of course.

Just holler if you want a nudge 😉

Thanks, Brendan. I think I’ve finished it now but am struggling to parse 21A (I think it means Twist) and 18D (meaning Eastern?)

Just understood 19D’s construction. Very good.

Hi Barry,
Yes you’ve got the definitions.
21a Nato alphabet for the first letter then a typical Paul usage of “go”
18d biblical books, grammatical article (one letter) both inside a word for window

Ahah. NATO alphabet - honestly! I’ve using it throughout my shift today. Duuuh.

And I didn’t know the O word for window.

Thanks, Brendan.
