If it's 13d it's a 3 letter dialect word for "anything" around/"to eat" the "ends in small and hole" - definition is "small predator" (a winged one)

I'm a keen Spiral fan. I have been since I caught the first series. So
I'm always keen to finish the crossword before it starts. I'll be sorry when it finishes.

Back to scandi noir on a Saturday evening.

All finished. Sadly fell asleep and missed the last half hour of Spiral. Spent most time trying to parse the answers on this one but still very enjoyable. 7d COD. On to the Everyman later.
