Anag, remove "at Uni" from the fodder

Could anyone help with my last entry please?
I have , for 6d, payment as the definition and st.es.
From my workings , there should be an I in it.
Where have I gone wrong? Everything else seems to work.

You need to remove a two letter word much used by setters meaning "at college/university" from the fist 2 words.

Sorry , I have the wrong definition. If it's "force" for the second time, I can see an answer, but I can't parse the original clue. Floundering.

Thanks all. I think I've crossed the line, but there is still that nagging ninth letter. There must be another answer affected with an "i". I have the one at 28d.
