HITTITE - 'once' (archaic) TIT meant 'at once' - so, 2 of these minus the first T (extra letter) inside HE(brew 'lost...).

CONI - CON (archaic) = 'show' + 'sloth' = AI (A extra).

Thanks drxx. Hadn’t come across tit and con in those senses before, should have spotted perennial favourite ai though.
