My show was cancelled too but I am hoping it can be re-arranged. Good luck on your cruise and hope you have some stories on your return. Perhaps your show can be re-arranged as well?

Grunger, thanks. Was your show cancelled because someone ate all the pies (intended to illustrate your talk)?

Yes, I'm sure there will be a new date for the Travellers' Tales.

Regarding the BBC and the unfortunate cancellations, I can say that they at least made one correct decision recently. I shall quote the email I sent to the Herald, and which they printed yesterday. (Seriously, I was very surprised, to say the least, that they actually printed it). It read:

The BBC was absolutely justified in sacking Danny Baker for tweeting a photograph with a chimp he purported to be the new royal baby. How dare he make fun of the baby's grandfather's ears?

It was cancelled owing(!) to rather disappointing ticket sales. I have been eating pies all day as I dont think they will keep until next week.

I like it (your e-mail) and well done on getting it published.

I imagine the chimp would have been traumatised at being compared to a member of the royal family - time the Beeb got rid of some of the over-paid creeps it employs.

Heard on BBC News yesterday ... people are being `blue-lighted` to hospital when they need emergency treatment ... I would have thought an ambulance would be sufficient.

Yes I agree. And shouldn't it be "blue-lit"?

Tyke, Jigjag

I have been inspired by your discussions to stand for the Crossword Party in the European elections.

We have 2 policies which is one more than the Brexit Party.

1. To attend all Cross(word)- Party talks.
2. To attend all parties.

Our policies are cryptic and in black and white, though possibly “double meaning” or “hidden”. I may be a square but I have seen the light. No puns will be allowed by the Party, and I ‘ave an ‘ unch I will be elected.

I have never been "blue-lighted ", but I have been "red-lighted" in 2 different senses!

I love it Grunger. I will definitely vote for you. I will put "a cross" "down" against your name. I am sure you will beat the Conservative candidate.
