Yes they do gazzar. Thx for reply drxx but i think it's incorrect in the preamble... The Os in the centre are not interrupting letters but i can see what you are getting at. :)

Interesting to see the different tallies of scores on this thread. 9 and 7; 10 and 6. I make it neither of those, having 10 scores and 7 (because of 3 misses). I could be wrong, of course. I'm assuming, like some others, that the two that share the interrupted letter, are credited each time, otherwise the contest is unfair. After all, if one was an inward radial and the other was outward, the letter would be counted twice.

I have 10 and 7 too murky. My totals for in and out are random though unless there is something I'm missing which is quite likely.

Really struggling with this one to get started. Could somebody give me a clue to the 1st and 2nd clue of the outer ring - I think I have the 9 letter 3rd clue but could be wrong

the second clue is reasonably straightforward, def is secures. The third one does have nine letters. I've got an answer for the first one but have no idea how it parses, I think it's the one with the extra letter.

It would be interesting to compare totals.

For the benefit of those glancing at this who do not wish to see my answers, I'll put convert them to binary.

I've got Inward: 110000110010
and Outward: 100000100101

Apologies to Rainmen who can instantly convert binary to decimal.

Thanks Planks - so for the second clue I’m thinking word for bargains minus t = word for secures?? Feels like it should be easy especially given it’s got to be a shortish word! Just not in the zone today
