A bit of a slog...

I have filled in all but 11 and 12; I have potential answers for each but can't figure out the wordplay in either case. Can someone get me over the line?

I haven't quite finished either and I've found the top right section the hardest.

However, blouses and skirts are sometimes known as separates and TA is an administrative trainee. And, Grid, your 31 is correct (see Chambers).

@grid - 34 isn't one of the modified answers. You're looking for a small cutter from which (FINE)* can be removed to give a fish.

I think "flying fish" is a bit misleading but it is a young version of a fish that is known for leaping out of the water upstream.

I'm baffled by 6a if anyone can throw me a lifeline. Thanks.

All the jumbles, grid, have a letter i inserted. The answers to the normal across clues do not include an i.

6 across is a letter of three characters round three letters of Luther with the missing and the answer is sky blue
