Only 4 left and totally lost - think I must have something wrong, Help!
C, R, O and X. I think I know where they all go.

Your letters are all right. Def for C word is something smelly, for X it's bird, for O think of calculus, and for R the def is describe.

Last 5 letters of 'R' are a synonym of the 'L' word - not in a physical way more emotional, I'd say.
'C' is defined by 'something smelly' - it would actually be found in a meadow or field full of cattle.
'X' is the Latin name of a bird - last 5 letters are an anagram (Crackers.).
Last 7 letters of 'O' are an anagram (distribution.)

I know I am being really thick and I have most of the clues solved and I know the starting letter but I cannot get the poisoner. Can someone give me a further clue?
