Hi, Rusty!
Update on the tennis.....
An incredible match between Jo -Wilfried Tsonga and John Isner - spread across two days.
Tsonga was down two sets to one at one stage, and yet went on to win......the final set being taken to 19 -17!
He will be tired tomorrow for his match against fellow countryman Richard Gasquet.
Nick Kyrgios will play Andy Murray tomorrow.
Now about injury timeouts........
As I understand it......
Players are allowed to request medical timeouts for non-acute injuries at changes of end, or between sets.
Once their injury has been diagnosed, they are then allowed three minutes of treatment.
(A player cannot have two timeouts for the same injury during a match.)
But timeouts for “acute” injuries requiring immediate assistance (such as falling and twisting an ankle )are permitted at any time.
For Kyrgios to request a timeout for a "stuffy nose" caused comment that maybe it was a ruse to disrupt the rhythm of his opponent, who was then kept hanging around.
Possible?

Good afternoon, Pigale!
Yes, Peter Sagan was very impressive with his win today.
Good to see him take the yellow jersey.
Contador is very unlucky so far.
Hope he is OK before the mountains.

Hello, Elle!
I think Isner was involved in a marathon match before?
The longest ever?
How tall is he? He is like a lamp post!
I did not see Kyrgios and his stuffy nose, but to me it sounds like he is a bit of a chancer.
A stuffy nose is hardly an injury, and could it really be caused by the Wimbledon air? Very dubious!.
And I can not see a stuffy nose improving in three minutes unless they used a miracle spray or something like that.
Maybe some asthma medication would help him!

Rusty, Isner's previous marathon match was against Mahut, a Frenchman, in 2010. It was played over three days, last over 11 hours - Isner won 70-68 in the final set.

Kyrgios is definitely a chancer!

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, yes! I knew the name "Isner" rang a bell!
What a good memory you have !
He beat Nicolas Mahut back in 2010 in a match that lasted over 11 hours, and spread over 3 days!
I've had to look it up, but the last set went to 70 - 68!!
As doglet has told you, Isner is 6ft 10ins.
We have a beautiful evening here.
Did you get out at all, today?

Hi, Rusty!
Good for Peter Sagan!
So does this mean that he gets to wear the yellow jersey?
I'll never remember all the rules!
What is tomorrow's route?
You will be pleased to hear that Martina Hingis put in an appearance today! (although I didn't see her match).
She and her partner, Sania Mirza, are ranked No 1 in Ladies Doubles.
She is also playing Mixed Doubles with Leander Paes - they are seeded 16th and got a first round bye.
Still a most glorious evening!
We've been out in the garden!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, Sagan is in yellow now.
Tomorrow they race from Granville to Angers.
Should be one for the sprinters.
Hopefully, Contador will get there without any more mishaps.
He has had several crashes already. Not good.
I saw the last two minutes of Martina Hingis and Miss Mirza.
They are good!
Fine evening here.
I was watching the ospreys.
The chicks appear to be close to flying.
Lots of wing flapping going on!

Hi, Rusty!
Such a lot of violence in these cycling races!
I read that Alberto Contador couldn't cycle properly after his crash.
However do they carry on as normal?
Talk about being stoical.......!
Now, more info for you regarding Martina Hingis.........
She and Leander Paes play tomorrow on Court no12.
Play starts at 11.30 but Martina and partner will be the fourth match on court.
You may be able to watch it, as you have such a lot of choices on your Red Button.
I doubt I shall get to see it.
At best, I sometimes have choice of three matches....those shown on BBC 1 and 2, and Channel 601, which is the current Red Button channel that has been available for Freeview.
But on the whole I've managed to see the match of my choice ...but sometimes it's involved a lot of channel hopping, as matches are often transferred to a different channel mid play!
(I do find that frustrating!)
