Hello, Elle!
You now know buckets more than me about Dead Men's Pennies!
You are the forum go-to gal on Memorial Plaques!
It said in the wee bit I read, that more than 600 were for women.
Be nurses etc I would imagine?
Maybe the women killed at Silvertown were entitled to one, too?
I still disapprove of folk selling them on eBay, or elsewhere!
Wonder why you could not send your message?
That's good about Kyrgios.
I shall watch him.
I shall probably regret asking you this, BUT, did you manage grandly with the Red Button today?

Hey, Rusty!
I have no idea why I wasn't allowed to send the message - I just got a red alert above the box saying that it couldn't be sent!
It was quite innocuous, wasn't it, so goodness knows why?
I forgot to mention that the plaque is sometimes referred to as the "Widow's Penny".
I didn't read any statistics but would think yes, the women who died could be mainly nurses and possibly factory workers?
A lot of factories were bombed, or self exploded like at Silvertown.
No, I cannot comprehend folk selling such memorials on ebay - you would think the plaques would be revered in honour of their dear ones.
The Red Button.............do you want me to have nightmares?

Hi rusty
We have a condenser tumble dryer and it is very good and means there is no water to get rid of.The only downside is it doesnt have a delay on the timer

Good day, Elle!
Fine morning here!
I used to be able to post a "link" on this forum but I can not, anymore.
Maybe something Ash has done to improve security.
Your post possibly triggered a response in the site security system?
But, I have no idea how these things work.
There were hospital ships sunk too.
Be nurses lost when they went down.

Hello, Doglet!
Thank you for your helpful advice.
Looks like a "condenser" tumbly dryer is the way to go!

Good morning, Rusty!
A beautiful and very warm morning here, too. Hot enough to be out without a jacket, even at 8am!
Yes, it was odd that I couldn't get that post to go through; it took several attempts over a considerable period of time.
I did manage earlier in the day to send you a link though - the one about the tumbler dryer?
Your favourite (huh!) female player is out first on the Centre Court today - the "panic room "lady plays Amra Sadikovic.
[Did you realise that Garbine Muguruza (who beat Ms. Giorgi yesterday) is the lady who beat Serena in the French Open Final?]
After that match Liam Broady plays Andy Murray.
Later today on Court One, Jo Konta plays Monica Pui.
And you know about Kyrgios on Court 2.....
I think Heather Watson plays there today, too.
A busy day!

Good morning, Eirlys!
That came through OK!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, your tumbly dryer link worked fine, thank you.
I have been pondering, is it "dryer" or "drier"?
Those fine folks at Chambers give both.
Oh, the "panic room" dame is playing, eh?
Well I hope Miss Sadikovic trounces her!
I have not seen Miss Muguruza play before.
She is new, to me.
There are a lot of good players today.
Should be enjoyable.
Any sign of Martina Hingis in the doubles?
I like listening to Tim. He talks sense.
As does Tracy Austin.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
We have been working in the garden this morning.... cutting the grass, weeding, trimming the trees, etc
My husband is still toiling away, but I have come indoors to watch some tennis!
Priorities again!
Your mate Kyrgios is two sets up so far (on the Red Button!)
Gasquet (on BBC2) is leading quite convincingly, too, so far.
Serena starts at any moment on Centre Court.
I don't know about Martina, but she and Leander Paes won the French Open (if I'm remembering correctly?) so I'm sure they will be here at Wimbledon?
Oops, here we go......Sue is announcing channel changes ...Serena will now be on BBC2....I'd better go and find where Nick Kyrgios has gone........(I really do not like his hair style!)

Hello, Elle!
I agree with the Kyrgios hair.
Now Bjorn Borg had good hair!
There is a lad on Red Button who has the longest dreadlocks I have ever seen. Is it Brown?
Is it my imagination or is Miss Panic Room less muscular than she used to be?
There are six different matches on my Red Button today.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Dustin Brown from Germany - one of the Wild Cards.
Now don't taunt me about your Red button options - it is far too cruel!
When Serena came out onto the Centre Court, her match was shown on BBC2, so the Gasquet match then went on the Red Button (the only one then operating) and the Nick Kyrgios match (previously on the Red Button) disappeared into oblivion!
I believe though that he is safely through?
Do you wonder I find it frustrating!!
Right...I am now going to wash my hair...then back to watch more tennis!
