Hello, Elle!
You have done well on your birthday!
Yes, you can get books cheaper on Amazon.
I would not do that, though.
Goes against the grain after perusing them in Waterstones.
Not quite right, I do not think!
Yes, today's crossword was much better.
It's the only one I do, so I like it to be tricky!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I do understand what you are saying but in this instance I am only trying here to get the best of both worlds!
I shall explain...........
You see, the voucher I have been given for my birthday is ONLY for Amazon - I do not have any money for buying directly from the bookshop!
As I so love wandering round bookshops, I thought I could look around and see what new books are out by my favourite authors......and soak up the bookshop atmosphere...... I thought that would be so much nicer than simply looking them up online!
And there are always people around in a bookshop to whom I can chat, too, and get their opinions on a book!
I should enjoy that!
As the available money for me to spend is tied up in the Amazon voucher.... I shall eventually have to order from there, though.
Is this making sense?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, it makes sense.
And if you think it is a good idea, go ahead.
But, if you like bookshops so much, it is a good idea to help sustain them by buying books there, surely?
Nobody buying books there, soon no shop?
I liked the Home Bargains shop I was in yesterday.
May go back and have another look at the "bluebell wood".

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I am with you there......of course it is a good idea to buy books from bookshops, and help sustain them - if you can afford it!
If I had money to spare for buying books from bookshops, then yes, I would do so.
But I'm not Rockefeller......I don't have a lot of money and my voucher is for Amazon!
I "cut my coat according to the cloth" as the saying goes......
(Where did this come from?)
Now.........the bluebell wood!
Yes, I think you should definitely go back and look at it again as you liked it so much!
Where would you hang it if you bought it?
Do you have a particular spot in mind?
Treat yourself?

Hello, Elle.
I understand now.
I am quite poor and often have to make decisions if I can afford things or not.
Hence, lunch out for me is a bacon roll, and very nice, too.
I have to see my nurse tomorrow, and after I may go and have another look at the bluebell wood.
I would probably hang it on a wall.

Hi, Rusty!
Is this appointment with your nurse for another blood pressure check?
You have been sticking to your regime of "eating less and exercising more", though, have you not?
So hopefully, all will be satisfactory.
Fingers crossed.....
(I meant which wall?! lounge / bedroom....?)

Hello, Elle!
Yes, BP.
It will be bad!
I have walked lots, but I like eating.
Have not eaten any less.
Having two teas is not the way to go, I do not think.
Probably have to cut one of them out.
I'll see what my nurse says.
I have not told her yet.
I have many walls, Elle.
I might get one of the young ones involved in where will it go.
That is, if I purchase it.
I just happened across it. I was not looking for a print.

Good morning, Rusty!
A fine day here!
The sun was shining very early but the temperature at 8am was only 6C.
Still a bit on the chilly side!
How is your day going?
Have you been yet to see the practice nurse?
How was your BP? What did the nurse have to say?

Good day to you, Elle!
Rainy on and off here.
Less cold though.
Yes, been to my nurse.
She is pleased.
BP down a bit.
I have lost 3 lbs weight (God knows how!)
Must be the extra walking.
Going back to see her in 2 weeks.
She asked me to bring my monitor and she will calibrate it with hers. So, all positive!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Good news on both counts - lower BP and less weight!
That is good to hear!
So keep up the good work!
I have dared hang some washing outside today.... there is a bit of breeze and a lot of sun! So should be good drying conditions!
We shall take the dog out for a second walk shortly.
Then this evening we are going out for dinner.
Remember the meal voucher I won in the vet's draw?
We have £70 to spend at this superb restaurant!
(I'm guessing we can eat a lot for that amount of money?)
It should be good!
