Hello, Elle!
You have had a grand day with your daughter!
Now, I am not the brightest, so how does you buying you a new jacket for your husband to give you, work?
Would rigmarole cover it?
I have odd bits in my head too, that no one else knows.
The name of the bull that killed Manolete in the ring at Linares was Islero. There was an Italian car of the same name made by Lamborghini but I do not know if it was called after the bull or not. Probably not.
My walk was very clarty. The rain had drowned parts of the Nature Trail and it was muddy and slippy.
That will be why I met no one!
Going to look in on the nest.
Pigale seems to see all the exciting bits!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, well, you see........before I went out, my husband told me to have a look around, whilst daughter and I were shopping, to see if there was anything I fancied for my birthday!
I bought a short black leather jacket (being out of bullock hides, I thought this might come in handy!)
I left the decision about book gift cards versus Amazon voucher to my daughter!
She can surprise me!
I didn't know that about Manolete and the bull - and the car!
Now, I don't know the word "clarty"?
That is a new one to me!
What does it mean?
Just checked in on the webcam again....only Lassie in residence - and no swans on the loch!!

Hello, Elle!
How on earth can you go through life without a bullock hide?
Dearie me, what is the world coming to?
No bullock hide? Tut, tut!
"Clarty" is dirty, up here! Filthy, in fact.
For many years I went to pub quizzes, just primed to jump in when we got a question about Manolete and the bull...
but it never came!
It seems a nice breezy evening on the loch!

I've never taken part in a Quiz!
I like answering the questions on Eggheads though!
And I enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit!
There is a clue from today's Times QC by Pedro, for you and Malone (if he is reading this )

Hello, Elle!
Lassie is back. She looks lay-ey to me?
Ref-(h)uge?
I am surprised you have never been in a quiz?
I used to compile and present them in pubs, too.
It is difficult setting a quiz, I found.
Getting the balance right between knowledge and fun.
More fun than knowledge is best.
I like Eggheads, too, but have not watched it for a while.
I used to like "Millionaire", too, then took a dislike to the presenter and stopped watching.
