Good evening, Elle!
You seem to have had a great day away.
And clement weather, too.
My day was fine.
Had two walks and the rain was only lightly falling for a while.
Going to visit my daughter in law in the morning.
It is her birthday.
I have had a wee bet on Rickie Fowler in the golf,
and also Lydia Ko, and Lexi Thompson, in the ladies golf.
They are doing OK, so far.
Fingers crossed!
And Cancellara in the Tour of Flanders on Sunday.

Good morning, Rusty!
It sounds as though you had a good day yesterday, too!
Another lovely morning here!
We have been so fortunate with the weather whilst the boys have been staying.
Sadly they all return home today. We shall miss them!
What is your weather doing?
I have just looked in on the ospreys.......I was hoping to show both birds to the boys, but again only Lassie is in the nest.
Any news of Hamish?
I hope you get chance to watch some of the golf.
But family and birthdays come first!
I hope your daughter-in -law has a great birthday!

Good afternoon, Elle!
My yesterday was not, perhaps, as good as yours!
Nice day here, but we do have the odd cloud or so.
It will be quiet without the family?
I visited my daughter-in-law this morning.
Time flies when you are having a good old natter!
No news about Hamish McDuck!
Just Lassie when I looked in, too.
I have watched quite a bit of the golf.
Looking forward to the finish of the ladies tournament on Sunday.
Tradition dictates that the winner and her caddie take a flying leap into Poppie's Pond, fully clothed! Good clean fun!

Hello Rusty and Elle !

I've just a read on the ospreys blog and apparently there is some camera problem - it tends to show an empty next apparently ...

I did notice that Lassie seemed to desert the next for very long periods yesterday afternoon and this morning, but I missed the bit about the fish !

Hello, Pigale!
Hope your weather is fine!
I think they are doing some technical stuff with the camera.
It was mentioned yesterday.
I missed the fish, too!
She is away from the nest during the night, too.
Probably roosting in a nearby tree.
That will change when she lays her eggs!

Hi, Rusty!
We hit a high of 17C this afternoon! This is the warmest day here so far this Spring!
The family left after lunch, and we then went for a walk in the woods.......a lovely afternoon's wander, but it was sad to see so many trees down after "Katie" 's wreaking her havoc!
Yes, we are already finding the house very quiet now that our visitors are gone!
But I am sure that they will be back soon! the boys wanted to know when they would be returning before they had even left!
They obviously had a good time!
That is good to hear.
I am glad that you managed to watch some golf....how are things looking for your bets on Lydia and Lexi?
Poppie's Pond?
I haven't heard about this tradition........I hope it's a shallow pond?
I have "The Voice" to watch this evening!

Hello, Pigale!
I hope you are having a nice day?
It's been very warm and sunny here!
The boys were reluctant to leave - it has been lovely to see them.
I'd hoped to show them both ospreys together but only Lassie has been around - and often the nest has been empty.
But I didn't know about the camera problem that you mentioned.

Hello, Elle!
Lydia and Lexi doing great.
Lexi is joint leader at half way.
Lydia just behind. She had a lot of problems with her contact lenses yesterday but still scored well!
Google "Lexi Thompson and Poppie's Pond" and you should find a video. Lexi did it two years ago, and not only her caddy accompanied her jump into the pond, but Mum and Dad, too!
Lexi received her prize wearing a dressing gown!
"Poppie" was Terry Wilcox, who was the tournament director for many years. His grandchildren called him "Poppie".
I think Amy Alcott was the first to jump, back in the eighties, and ever since, the winner and caddy have taken the jump.
Just good fun!
I am looking forward to it, tomorrow!

Hi, Rusty!
I have been watching "The Voice" - I survived up until the hiatus for the public's telephone vote.....and then I must have fallen asleep!
So at least I only missed a very little of the show....and I guess that it is hardly surprising as I am so very tired ( grandkids are great, aren't they? but somewhat exhausting!!!)
So I do not yet know which four contestants are going through to next week's Grand Final.........
However, I have recorded it, so shall watch the results later on......after the recording of "Casualty" has finished.
I shall definitely sleep well tonight, I should think!
Daughter rang and said that they had arrived home safely.
Yes, I have watched Lexi's previous jump into "Poppie's Pond"
Quite a tradition!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the young ones can be tiring!
Rain here.
Camera not working at the loch, either.
I think Lexi's caddie managed a half-pike with twist on his jump...or something like that!
I wonder who will be the Lady of the Lake tomorrow?
And will we see the Lassie of the Loch!
Next Saturday will be a busy day for me.
The Grand National starts at 5.15 (later this year) and BGT starts at 7.00 p.m., as does the Masters golf.
I think my tea will be a sandwich!
All go!
