Good morning, Rusty!
And a very lovely one it is, too!
I am having a few moments peace (!) whilst the boys play on their tablets!
I have looked in on the ospreys ; only Lassie is there - it looks as though she has been collecting yet more moss!
Re "rotter", yes, I would agree with "cad" and " bounder"......but not with "cruel" as the Times said.
Ah well...that is yesterday's problem!
We shall be going out with the dog later....just waiting now for daughter to wake up!
The rest of us have been "on the go" for ages!
Have you been out for your paper?

Hello, Elle!
Great day here.
The Sun "newspaper" had a bit about Hamish, too!
He is a national celebrity now, wherever he is!
Yes I see Lassie. This will be a great nest when they have finished moving sticks and moss about!
I am just about to take the "move more" route to ASDA.

Hi, Rusty!
Is this "eat less, move more" regime beginning to benefit you?
Have you checked your BP?
We are about to follow your example and go out for a walk....daughter has now appeared and had breakfast, so we shall be off out shortly.
It is a glorious day!
There is an homophone in the Times QC, I doubt you would quarrel with it though?

Morning Elle and Rusty,

I have just had a look at the Dundee Courier site and read all about Hamish McDuck ! What a beautiful duck - but as you say, very sad about Morag. I am surprised that anyone was able to snatch Hamish, since I suppose her owner must have some sort of a secured area for her pets ?

I wonder when the osprey's nest will be considered 'perfect' by its inhabitants! There is still no end of material being brought in!
I also feel a bit sorry for Lassie who seems to be spending a lot of time on her own - where does Laddie go all this time on his own?

~Weather fairly mild and grey - not too windy though.

Hello, Elle!
Bit rainy here.
BP much the same.
Yes, that homophone is fine!
Just off for a walk in the rain!
Will tackle the crossword when I return!

Hello, Pigale!
Great shame about Morag. And Hamish, too.
Unfortunately there are some nasty folk in the world.
To steal a pet duck? That is really low!
I suppose Laddie's role is to make sure no other ospreys come into his "space". And he will have to catch the trout.
I have not seen him bring any, yet.
The nest looks fine, but Lassie appears to be a fussy bird!

Hi, Rusty!
How was your walk? How far did you venture?
I hope you didn't get too wet?
We are still having sunshine here!
We drove over to Crystal Palace Park this morning.
Everyone but the dog and I went to the Maze!
This is based on the Hampton Court Maze, and takes quite a long time to find one's way out!
On Easter Sunday there is always an egg hunt in there.
There is also a Dinosaur Park that the children love!
(Dog and I went for a long walk in the woods whilst the maze exploration was going on)
Lassie is still alone in her nest.
Any news of Hamish?........shades of the Old Grey Goose?
Did you hear that Ronnie Corbett has died? The end of another era........

Hello, Pigale!
We are having a great time with the grandkids but it's never-ending!
After a hectic time in the park, we are now about to start playing board games ........no rest for the wicked! or even for the weary!
I think I'll have Lassie round to organise my house...she seems to be making a good job of hers!

Hello Elle ! I too could do with one (or even two!) Lassie here, but I am not quite sure what the cats would make of it !

Hope you manage to win your games.

Hello, Elle!
I went on the Nature Trail. Had it to myself!
I have never been in a maze.
No news of Hamish.
I fear the worst for him. Yes, like the Old Grey Goose!
Lassie was enjoying the sunshine whenst last I looked.
Sad to hear about Ronnie.
A very funny man.

Good afternoon, Pigale!
I wonder if Lassie is finished with the housework?
She seems to be taking it easy today.
Enjoying the sun, though the trees were blowing quite a bit!

Good afternoon/evening Rusty,

Yes, sad about Ronnie; I liked him very much; How old would he be I wonder?

That next looks quite impressive as it is, but I say Lassie still arranging twigs and moss etc earlier in the day. She has left the nest just now.

I thought Hamish had been sighted by the Loch, but too close to the osprey for him to be reunited with his mistress?

Gone wet and cooler now - not nice.
